Arthur Furst, Professor EmeritusChemistry, published a paper in early spring, Can Nutrition Affect Chemical Toxicity, in the International Journal of Toxicology. His book, 151 Myths of Everyday Science, has just been printed. He will give a talk on the book at the Stanford Health Library at the Stanford Shopping Center this month.
Lorrie Ranck, CoordinatorMartín Baró Scholars Program, had her article, Gays and Lesbians in the U.S. Immigration Process, published in Peace Review: A Journal of Social Justice in December, and reprinted in Lettera Internazionale, an Italian interdisciplinary journal, this month.

Aaron Shurin, Assistant ProfessorMaster of Fine Arts in Writing, premiered his dance, Bonus Round, in April at the Connelly Theater in New York. Shurin also has eight new poems in the spring issue of the literary journal Raddlemoon.
Stephen Zunes, Associate ProfessorPolitics, had two articles published in Tikkun magazine: Iraq, Israel and the Jews in the March/April issue, and Israel, Iraq and the United Nations in the May/June issue. His book, Tinderbox: U.S. Middle East Policy and the Roots of Terrorism, published last fall, has been translated into French, Italian, and Greek. His chapter, Foreign Policy by Catharsis: the Failure of U.S. Policy Towards Iraq, will appear in the book The Iraqi Question in World Politics. He also contributed the Middle East chapter for the book Power Trip: U.S. Global Strategy after September 11.
