Robert Talbot, Law, talked about the new Web site chillingeffects.org, which USFs School of Law helped create with partners Harvard University, Stanford University, and U.C. Berkeley. The Web site was featured in February and March in the Times of London, the Boston Globe, The New York Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the San Jose Mercury News. Talbot was also interviewed more than a dozen times in March by San Franciscos KGO-TV, KPIX-TV, and Pittsburghs WNPA-TV about the Diane Whipple dog-mauling case. He appeared live on KGO-TV the day of the verdict.
Julio Moreno, History, was featured seven times in March on Hispanic television networks Univision and Telemundo, Spanish-language newspaper El Nuevo Mundo, and Radio Unica about President Bushs visit to Latin America.
Eugene Muscat, Business, talked to KNTV March 6 and 7 about Safeways new online grocery business. Muscat was also interviewed in March by Canadian Broadcaster, Inc. on the Hewlett Packard-Compaq merger.
Michael Stanfield, History, was interviewed in March by Radio Unica and El Heraldo Catolico about the ongoing civil war in Colombia.
Richard Puntillo, Business, was featured March 7 on KGO-TV in a story about the Enron collapse.
Noam Chomskys lecture at USF was highlighted in a San Francisco Chronicle story March 18. (see related story)
Abe Baggen, Chief Information Officer, was interviewed last month by Tech-TV about the universitys policy on the use of Web sites such as Napster and Nutella.
Else Tamayo, Human Resources, spoke March 25 to the Austin, Texas publication Inside Business about affirmative action.
