Pamela Balls Organista, Professor–Psychology, was invited to join the “Expertise Series Task Force” of the division of clinical and professional practice, California Psychological Association (CPA) at its annual convention in San Diego in March.

Nicole Bohn, Director–Student Disability Services, has had a three-part essay, “The Adventures of Red Hornet,” published in the book Exact Fare Only II: Good Bad & Ugly Rides on Public Transit.

James T. Bretzke, S.J., Associate Professor–Theology and Religious Studies, recently published his fourth book, A Morally Complex World: Engaging Contemporary Moral Theology. In November he presented a paper, “Theology of Accompaniment as a Post-Minjung Theology in Korea,” to the Korean Religions Group at the American Academy of Religion’s annual convention  in Atlanta. He also has presented four evening workshops on “Introduction to Moral Theology” for the Diocese of San Jose’s Institute of Leadership in Ministry.

George Devine, Adjunct Professor–School of Business and Management, completed the seventh edition of For Sale by Owner, to be released this year by Nolo.com. In January he filed live updates of Stanford men’s basketball games for Fox Sports Radio and ESPN Radio. In December and January he covered the San Francisco Diamond Walnut Bowl and the East-West Shrine Game for SportsTicker.

Heather E. Hudson, Director–Telecommunications Management and Policy Program in the School of Business and Management, received a Sloan Industry Center Fellowship for 2003-2004.

Cecilia MacDowell Santos, Assistant Professor–Sociology, had an article, “En-gendering the Police: Women’s Police Stations and Feminism in São Paulo,” accepted for publication in the October issue of the journal Latin American Research Review.

Jack McLean, Director–Service Learning, chaired a conference of service learning directors from 25 Jesuit colleges and universities in November on the USF campus. 

Jean Molesky-Poz, Assistant Professor–Theology and Religious Studies, had her chapter “The Form Didn’t Fit: Charting New Maps, Illuminating New Spaces,” published recently in the book Reconciling Catholicism and Feminism? 

Dean Rader, Assistant Professor–English, had his article, “Stars Among the Walking: The Poetry of Carter Revard,” printed in SAIL: Studies in American Indian Literatures. His three poems, “Einstein,” “Crossings: India/Texas,” and “Vallejo’s Prediction,” will be printed in the next issue of VEER: New Verse.

Dan Rascher, Co-Director–Sport Management, co-authored an article, “Revenue and Wealth Maximization in the National Football League: The Impact of Stadia,” published in the recent issue of Sports Marketing Quarterly.

Heinz Weihrich, Professor–School of Business and Management, recently published the 12th edition of his book, Administracion: Una Perspectiva.

Stephen Zunes, Associate Professor–Politics, gave a series of talks in January on U.S. Middle East Policy at Bishop Manogue Catholic High School in Reno, Truckee Meadows Community College, and the University of Nevada. He also had his article, “Attacks on Dean Expose Democrats’ Shift to the Right,” published in the November/December issue of Tikkun Magazine. His review of Cheryl Rubenberg’s The Palestinians: In Search of a Just Peace will be published in the forthcoming issue of Journal of Palestine Studies.
