CPS Set to Move Into New Home, Open House Planned for August

Moving vans will roll onto Lone Mountain in July to begin moving the College of Professional Studies into its new building on the corner of Masonic and Turk streets. While the actual square footage of the new building is comparable to that of the school's current space, its location and façade it will increase the school's visibility and give it a more distinct presence on campus.

"This new building has a beautiful reception area," said CPS Dean Larry Brewster. "We will also have a night presence now, with some staff working until 7 p.m. to assist our students. The new space will also have more open space, with fewer private offices than we have now."

The building includes three classrooms, one conference room, a commons area for students, and work space for most of the college's 55 faculty and staff members. The Institute for Nonprofit Organization Management will remain in the college's previous space on the Lone Mountain Campus.

USF is leasing the 20,000-square-feet building from the Sisters of the Presentation. The sisters will occupy a portion of the third floor. The college will host an open house for the university community in late August or early September.end
