USFconnect/USF Network passwords not in synch
Student USFconnect PIN/Passwords and USF Network account passwords are initially set to the same value. They are not, however, kept in synch after that initial setting. If you change your USFconnect PIN/Password, your USF Network account password will not automatically change. Likewise, if you change your USF Network account password, your USFconnect PIN/Password will not automatically change.
Login Fails on Internet Explorer for MacOS
Older version of Internet explorer for MacOS will not allow users to log in even with the correct password. The only version of Internet Explorer known to work is 5.1.6. This update is a free download from Microsoft's web page. You can download this software here .
Action Cancelled or Page can not be Displayed error when loading USFConnect
When using Internet Explorer for Windows the browser needs to meet 2 criteria. First it needs to be Internet Explorer 5.5 with Service Pack 2 or Internet Explorer 6.0 with Service Pack 1. The second requirement is it's cipher strength needs to be 128-bit. For Windows 95/98/ME/XP this is a patch you can download for your web browser at WindowsUpdate. If you are running Windows 2000 then you will need to install the High Encryption Pack. This System level patch is available to install off of your original installation media as well as off of the WindowsUpdate page under Windows 2000 upgrades.

Address book import of groups from Eudora
If you import your address book from Eudora, you will find that your individual addresses import correctly, but your groups (Eudora Nicknames that have a recipient list) import as individuals, with the first two recipients' addresses as the individual's addresses. This is a known defect. We do not have an estimated date when a fix will be available.

Appointments message on My Connection page does not reflect different time zones, even if I adjust my calendar settings.
The calendar reminder on the front page is set according to the server time through a javascript, so it does not reflect the calendar's timezone setting.
Calendar address (web link) does not work.
Link provided under "Edit Properties" does not currently work. Issue has been reported to Campus Pipeline and we are testing the possible solution in our test environment.
In my calendar page there is a link for "Errors". What is this?
When you try to delete an event, or respond to an invitation, sometimes USFconnect will generate an error. If there are errors, they are listed via the "Errors" link on the right of the Calendar Page. ITS is investigating the nature of these errors and if and how they can be cleared. If you encounter an error that won't go away, feel free to send the nature of the error to itshelp@usfca.edu.
