Resident Ministry

Jesuit education holds cura personalis as one of its highest values. Cura personalis refers to our commitment to be attentive to the whole person: the intellectual, the spiritual, the emotional, the physical. The presence of Resident Ministry Interns in your residence hall is one way USF lives out this value.

Resident Ministry Interns are here for you. They are professional staff members who provide a pastoral presence in the residence halls. All work or study full-time. They are campus ministers, professors, graduate students and may be a priest, a lay person or a member of a religious order. All are committed to a spiritual/religious life, and choose to live in the residence halls to be available to that community.

Working closely with the Office of Residence Life, Resident Ministry Interns co-sponsor hall programs and host activities such as video nights, prayer groups, Bible study, and discussions around topics of interest. Your Resident Ministry Intern is available for conversation, either by appointment or on a drop-in basis. Watch the bulletin boards for upcoming events hosted by your Resident Ministry Intern. Drop in to say hello. Resident Ministry Interns serve the entire hall, so if there is not one on your floor, visit a Resident Ministry Intern on another floor in your building.
