The level of introspection I experienced as both a retreatant and as a leader continues to influence and improve my relationships. I cannot imagine a better use of a single weekend; I know I will still be reaping the benefits of the retreat years after I graduate."

/uploadedImages/Destinations/Offices_and_Services/University_Ministry/images/LukeHendrickson.pngLuke Hendrickson (Senior, Philosophy) " For me, going on this trip with both friends and soon-to-be friends was both refreshing and centering. I came back to San Francisco with a new perspective and fresh eyes. I was able to see clearly that my friends, and the love I have for them, superseded any worldly worries I had. In leading Kairos I saw another side entirely: I became a mentor and spiritual guide, someone who was there to listen and, if asked, give advice and sympathy. I came away from this more certain of myself and my worth. If you can lead, do it! And if you can't, make time for it."

It was a transformational experience."

Kairos taught me how satisfying appreciating a moment is, the importance of living your life in the present moment, and accepting the love of those around you who are giving it. When you open your eyes and take in the lessons that this retreat has to offer, it'll change how you love yourself, and love the life that you create for yourself. That, in itself, is timeless."
