Senior Associate Director
Multicultural Recruitment and Retention
Thank you for your interest in the University of San Francisco. My name is Suzette DeGrange and I serve as Senior Associate Director of Multicultural Recruitment and Retention (MRR) in the Office of Undergraduate Admission.
The University of San Francisco ranks 12th among national universities for ethnic diversity and international students. Multicultural Recruitment and Retention is committed to assisting students and families from historically underrepresented populations with the various opportunities available in higher education at USF. MRR staff visit schools, churches, and agencies in under resourced communities to teach students about USF and the application and enrollment process for college. MRR also contributes to the retention and leadership development of USF multicultural students by involving them in outreach, recruitment and enrollment efforts for new undergraduates. We collaborate with several offices, such as First Year Student Services and the Cultural Centers, to help multicultural and first generation students transition successfully to the university.
In addition to multicultural recruitment, I am also a member of our freshman admission counseling team, and I travel throughout California and the Southeast to recruit students. I am originally from the Gulf Coast, and I attended Jesuit and Catholic universities in Louisiana and California. I welcome questions from all prospective students, and I look forward to meeting you on the road, or when you visit us here on the Hilltop!
