Permanent linkThe site perimeter fence painting and the installation of the sound mitigation measures have been completed. The excavation of the UC lot for the cistern is anticipated to begin Monday, May 2, 2011. This date may change based on final approval from BAAQMD and the SF Building Department. Once this work begins it will be very noisy in and around the UC lot as the contractor demolishes the asphalt and excavates for the cistern.
Permanent linkThe final scheduled Town Hall for the Spring semester will be on April 26th from noon to 1pm in Lone Mountain 100. The hygienist and staff from Environmental Safety will be present to answer specific questions about the mitigation plans for the excavation of serpentine rock. In addition we will discuss the power outage to main campus on May 29 and 30.
Permanent linkPainting of the construction fence will begin Monday along with work on the west side of Harney in the path that leads into campus from Golden Gate Ave. The work in between Harney and Gleeson will allow access to pedestrians however people with mobility impairments should use the entrance to campus from Parker Ave. The installation of the acoustical blanket on the fence is almost complete and should be finished by mid week.
