Chicago, IL, Toronto, ON,
Orlando, FL – June 21, 2011 -- Embanet-Compass
Knowledge Group, the premier
provider of distance learning services, is proud to announce a new partnership
with the University of San Francisco (USF) to launch its first online degree
program– Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
The online MSN program
prepares clinical nurse leaders (CNL) as masters prepared nurse generalists.
The CNL designs, implements, and evaluates care by coordinating, delegating,
and supervising the care provided by the health care team, including licensed
nurses, technicians, and other health professionals. The online offering begins
in January 2012, and will be available
to students who hold an Associate’s in Nursing and a Bachelor’s in Nursing.
“In the nursing profession,
our goal is to serve our patients and the community,” said Judith Karshmer,
dean of the USF School of Nursing. Karshmer continued, “By delivering this
degree online, we can expand our reach, educate more nurses, and serve more
patients. The expertise in marketing, recruitment and retention, and course
development that Embanet-Compass Knowledge Group brings to the table will help
us focus on what we do best: deliver the knowledge that nurses need to succeed
in the ever-changing area of healthcare.”
“We look forward to a long
and successful relationship with University of San Francisco supporting its
goal of expanding online degree programs while maintaining excellence and
delivering a world class education to its students,” said Steve Fireng, chief
executive officer and president of Embanet-Compass Knowledge Group.
