What is Digital Publishing Suite?
InDesign has been used in the world of publication for print, but since Apple has introduced iPad, InDesign’s new set of tools known as Digital Publishing Suite, has opened up a new world of design and interactivity for designers and publishers.

DPS is one of the many formats for digital output from InDesign. You can do this through the InDesign application for PC or Mac, and then upload onto devices such as Apple iPad, iPhone, Kindle Fire, and Android tablets such as Samsung Galaxy. The DPS tools allow you to publish your file in a folio format to be shared or published to the app store.

Learning Objectives:

• Overview of Digital Publishing in InDesign (single edition)
• Learn about basic interactivity such as video, audio, buttons, hyperlinks, object states
• Explore layout controls; folio building and preview
• Class focus on sharing folio to Apple iPads
