The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offered by CONCERN provides professional assistance to eligible faculty and staff, dependents and/or others living in the household. Confidential services are available for a wide range of personal matters, such as:

  • Self-improvement and emotional/mental health (depression, stress, anxiety)
  • Child and Elder Care needs
  • Relationship issues
  • Alcohol/drug abuse
  • Legal consultations
  • Pregnancy health
  • Other work–life concerns

Each individual has an 8-visit benefit per issue/per each 12-month period. Many issues can be addressed directly with your EAP professional. In some cases, you may be referred to other resources that may incur a cost. You can access this program 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by calling 1-800-344-4222 or visiting the CONCERN EAP website (company code: usf).

Using EAP in Supervision

If you are a manager or supervisor, you may benefit from the EAP’s online training course. Using EAP in Supervision teaches supervisors and managers how EAPs work, the steps for making a supervisor referral, and how to avoid common pitfalls when managing troubled employees. Once the online training course is completed, a Certificate of Completion is awarded. Please follow the instructions on the Using EAP in Supervision webpage to sign up for the supervisor training.

If you have questions or concerns regarding an employee's job performance or about how to make a supervisor referral, contact CONCERN: EAP for a consultation at 800-344-4222 or www.concern-eap.com
