Welcome to February's hrDirect. I would like to welcome Diane Nelson to her new role as Assistant Director for Human Resources, for Employment, Professional Development, and Affirmative Action. Diane brings a wide array of experiences in the fields of employment, recruitment, and employee relations. Diane and I are excited about her new role and she looks forward to working more closely with the University community.
This month in hrDirect, Diane reminds us of the University's one-on-one New Staff Orientations and this year's Merit and Service Awards Ceremony. Diane also announces the extension of the Voluntary Reduction in Time program and the winner of the SkillSoft on-line training opportunity award for Jan./Feb. 2011.
Lori Bauwens announces that tax and withholding information can now be viewed online and she instructs us on how to access and re-print W-2's online. HRIS also reminds us of the importance of updating emergency contact information.
In this beginning of tax season, Diane Sweeney announces that CONCERN, USF's Employee Assistance Program, is offering a discounted tax preparation service, and the launch of the new online Benefits Statement. Diane and Healthy USF announce the "10 Ways to Love Your Heart Promotion" and we are reminded that Healthy USF is open to adult family members as well as USF faculty and staff.
USF HR wishes you all a great Spring semester. Please send any hrDirect comments or suggestions to
peugh@usfca.edu.
Thank you,
Martha Peugh-Wade
