PSYD 710 - Advanced Psychopathology I: Children and Adolescents (3)
First course in a two-semester sequence focusing on psychopathology across the lifespan. Students will survey the epidemiology, etiology, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of child and adolescent psychological disorders. Students will examine biological, developmental, familial, and sociocultural factors involved in child and adolescent psychopathology. Students will critically examine the DSM-IV system of diagnosis and learn to apply it thoughtfully to clinical and empirical work.
