NURS 304 - Preparation for International Healthcare Delivery (1)

This elective course provides an opportunity for students to apply their knowledge, skills and evidence-based standards of care to facilitate the promotion and restoration of health in adult clients in hospitals and rehabilitation settings in a foreign country. Students will participate in an immersion in a foreign country where the culture, language and healthcare system is different from their own. Students will experience the challenges of communicating in a foreign language and observe delivery of nursing care in a hospital and rehabilitation setting that is respectful and culturally sensitive to all clients incolved.
