Where to Stay and Eat in San Francisco
When it comes to dining and lodging, there’s literally something for everyone in San Francisco. From taco trucks to dim sum to Southern-style barbecue to nationally renowned vegetarian fine dining, your favorite restaurant is probably not far from USF (even if you don't know it yet). And there are hotels and motels (and even some campgrounds) to suit every style and budget.
The links above are all from Yelp, one of San Francisco's most popular destinations for food and lodging recommendations. But there are lots of sites that can help you find your way to the perfect hotel room and the perfect meal; these include OpenTable, SFGate, and Hotels.com.
In USF's immediate vicinity, restaurants include Papalote (Mexican), Abacus (Chinese), Twilight Cafe and Jannah (Middle Eastern), and Poleng Lounge (Asian fusion). There are also plenty of small coffeeshops and delis. And although the majority of San Francisco's hotels are located downtown, there are some interesting options within walking distance; these include the Metro, Chateau Tivoli and Stanyan Park, as well as several bed and breakfasts.
