Student Comments from the Survey

"For doctoral students who want to become special education professors, we are given experience in every aspect of the job from interviewing and mentoring credential program students to supervising them in their internships. Also, generous fellowships are available for doctoral students pursuing the special education emphasis."

"The program helps students focus on key areas of interest and provides opportunities outside of courses to strengthen those areas."

"I'm very impressed with the wide ranges of studies, methodologies, and rationales the L&I Department encourages. I've not encountered anyone from any other program who has as much flexibility and sound research advice from their faculty as I have from mine."

"The computer resource center in the School of Education is available and easily accessible. There is always an assistant available to answer computer questions."

"The L&I faculty is very focused on students. They're caring and supportive and very informative about program requirements."
