The Digital Media and Learning program continues to host their annual half-day series of free workshops to the community.

Tech Skills for Classroom Thrills - 2012

This year's conference offered twelve informative workshops. Participants were able to choose among several for each of the three sessions.

In Social Learning Networks, participants pictured to the right are learning about ways they might use an ever-growing list of social media in their classrooms. Led by DML student, Paul Barnes, the session addressed privacy issues related to Facebook and Twitter, and also explored the pros and cons of Edmodo, Schoology and the fast-growing Google+.

	The half-day of workshops offer a much needed opportunity for professional development in technology for San Francisco Bay Area teachers.
	Guest keynote speaker, Kathy Schrock, was well received. Her experiences as an educational technology leader provided added value to the many workshops.
	Our workshop popularity continues to grow as attendees enjoy learning more about the technology tools available to them. "I just want to say thanks for what you have done. This is going to [be] my third year attending this wonderful workshop. I cannot say enough... how I have learned every time..."
