Martha J. Kanter
We were excited to learn in April 2009 that Dr. Kanter was nominated by President Obama as Undersecretary of Education. She had been a very effective Chancellor of Foothill-De Anza College. She now oversees the nation's postsecondary education policy, federal student aid, adult education and vocational education.
She was a recipient of our 1990 Alumni Award and 1990 Outstanding Dissertation for Research on Community Colleges in California.
