The School of Education celebrates four decades of involved teachers, devoted leaders and caring counselors. Our faculty and students are scholars and social justice advocates engaged within the diverse San Francisco Bay area and beyond. With over twenty masters and doctoral programs, including programs at our branch campuses and online, we welcome students who seek to make an impact and who are committed to serving those most in need.

Paul J. Fitzgerald, S.J., Named President of the University of San Francisco

Paul J. Fitzgerald, S.J., has been named the next president of the University of San Francisco, the 28th in its 159-year history. The USF Board of Trustees voted unanimously in a special session April 8 to appoint Fr. Fitzgerald, said Thomas E. Malloy ’61, board chair. Fr. Fitzgerald will take office Aug. 1.

The USF Marriage and Family Therapy program hosted its annual MFT Traineeship Fair on February 7, 2014 in the McLaren Conference Center.  Twenty-seven community agencies attended the event and met with fifty MFT second-year students searching for traineeship placements for the fall.
