USF Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Major


The San Francisco Bay Area, located in the global heart of Venture Capital and Technology Innovation, provides the ideal location for business students that wish to prepare themselves for an entrepreneurial career. The USF Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Major is designed to prepare students to design, launch, and grow new business ventures, either stand alone or within an existing corporation. All USF UG Business students with a major in Entrepreneurship will draft a comprehensive business plan and participate in a USF UG Business Plan Competition. Students will be able to tailor their Entrepreneurship Emphasis with course selections in Entrepreneurship and Business Plan Development, Venture Capital and Investment Banking, and Creativity and Innovation, among others. Graduates will have the skills to launch New Businesses, return home to assist Family Businesses, or take on Business Development Roles at growth-oriented companies.

- Venture Capital and Investment Banking
- Social Entrepreneurship (not-for-profit and direct social welfare entrepreneurship endeavors)
- Legal Aspects of Entrepreneurship (Intellectual property rights, contract law, etc.)
- Due Diligence (Evaluate business plans submitted to local venture capital firms)
- Incubation and Launch (Work with small group of students in last semester to launch their new businesses in association with New USF Incubator)
