Admissions

We recommend that you begin the application process early and take time to reflect on your past experience and future goals. Starting an online application early will allow you to complete it in phases.

Admissions requirements vary across our MBA programs. Please see below for general information on standard admissions components and click here to apply.

Recommendations

We use these recommendations as a gauge of your professional achievements and managerial potential. With that in mind, we suggest that at least one of your recommendations come from a current direct manager. Your recommender should provide specific observations and examples of your leadership, teamwork, analytical skills, and general likeability.

Test Scores

When required, an official score report must be forwarded to USF by the testing agency. The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) and English proficiency tests (TOEFL or IELTS) take two to three weeks to be processed from the date you take the test. We recommend taking these tests at least two weeks before the application deadline by which you intend to apply.

Transcripts

One set of transcripts from the institution where you earned your undergraduate (bachelor's or first) degree and graduate degree is required. Please request that the official transcripts be sent directly to USF MBA Admissions Office, including instructions on how to interpret the transcript and an explanation of its grading system.

If the transcript is not from a U.S. college or university, you will need to have your institution mail the official transcripts directly to an independent academic credential evaluation provider. USF MBA Admissions requires that all applicants use World Education Services for this service and we recommend that you review the Frequently Asked Questions listed on the WES website. Click here to apply for this evaluation. WES requires a fee from the applicant for processing applications.

Please make note of the following:

  • You do not need to have any documents sent from your international institution to USF. Your documents will go to WES, and USF will receive a copy of the original documents along with the evaluation.
  • You must request the Comprehensive Course-by-Course Report of your credentials.
