Admissions
We recommend that you begin the application process early and take time to reflect on your past experience and future goals. Starting an online application early will allow you to complete it in phases. Please see below for general information on admissions components.
Recommendations
We use these recommendations as a gauge of your professional achievements and managerial potential. With that in mind, we suggest that at least one of your recommendations come from a direct supervisor. Your recommender should provide specific observations and examples of your leadership, teamwork, analytical skills, and general likeability.
Test Scores
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is required and cannot be waived under any circumstances because it provides a uniform and standardized way of evaluating all candidates.
If your native language is not English, or if you graduated from a college or university where the language of instruction was not English, you are required to submit your TOEFL or IELTS scores. An official score report must be forwarded to USF by the testing agency. Please click here for more information.
Transcripts
One set of transcripts from the institution where you earned your undergraduate (bachelor's or first) degree and graduate degree is required. Please request that the transcripts be sent directly to you. If your school does not permit transcripts to be returned to you, have the materials sent directly to the University of San Francisco. Please have your institution include instructions on how to interpret the transcript and an explanation of its grading system. If the transcript is not in English, you will need to include an English translation.
If you need to send materials by postal mail, please use the following address:
Office of Graduate Admission
University of San Francisco
2130 Fulton Street
San Francisco, CA 94117-1080
