The University of San Francisco is committed to the development of a strong and viable social fraternity/sorority system on campus.
Through extension efforts, the Greek Expansion Committee is charged with ensuring that the expansion of the fraternal community occurs in a manner that supports the educational mission of the University of San Francisco. This approach provides maximum opportunity for successful and meaningful and rewarding experiences for students within the social fraternity/sorority system.
Fall 2011: The Greek community expanded by adding the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta.
Spring 2012: Efforts were conducted to identify and expand the community by two new North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) fraternities. Under the direction of
Student Leadership and Engagement, USF will establish a
chapter for Pi Kappa Phi in Fall 2012 and Phi Delta Theta in Fall 2013.
This extension process is currently on hold. Applications for Reinstatement/Reactivation of chapters previously registered at USF will not be accepted prior to January 1, 2015, and reinstatement of said chapters would not take place until Fall 2015.
