Student Academic Services / Academic Advising Center

Our office is here to help you succeed during your time at the University of San Francisco. The Dean's Office coordinates academic related events and workshops, offers assistance in choosing classes and finishing degrees, and a variety of other services. We also offer students on academic probation one-on-one coaching, and academic counseling to students who are struggling with academic and personal issues.
Besides the work we normally do, we are excited to bring you new workshops that will focus on strengthening your academic skills, such as time management, listening and note taking, stress management, and career and major exploration. We also have created a new support program for students on academic probation, entitled Bounce Back.

Our team consists of Dr. Laleh Shahideh, Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences; Mariella Brodersen, Administrative Director; Marvella Luey, Assistant to the Associate Dean; Tonya Miller, Director of Student Academic Services; Sara Solloway, Director, Student Retention and Success Programs; and Shona Doyle, Coordinator of Retention and Student Advising Programs. We are all responsible for different aspects of academic services, but any of us are willing to help you whenever you need it.

If you have questions for us, please call us at (415) 422-6373 or just stop by our office at Harney 240. We would be glad to help in any way that we can!
