This book contains fourteen papers presented at the First International Young Scholars’ Symposium held in December 2002 at Chung Chi College, Chinese University of Hong Kong. The papers explore the theme of Christianity in China from historical, theological, philosophical, linguistic and artistic perspectives, providing the readers with the information about the scholarship of young Chinese scholars on the subject at present. Also included are three keynote presentations by Zhuo Xinping, Daniel H. Bays, Nicolas Standaert during the symposium. The publication is in Chinese. The symposium was co-sponsored by the Centre for the Study of Religion and Chinese Society, Chung Chi College, Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the Ricci Institute for Chinese-Western Cultural History at the University of San Francisco.
