Zhengfusi Research Project

Zhengfusi (also known as Tcheng-fou-sse) is one of the oldest Christian cemeteries in Beijing. It has witnessed many changes and incidents in the city. Currently, thirty-six remaining tombstones are in the permanent collection of the Beijing Stone Carving Art Museum. To re-capture those historical events, a research project is sponsored by the Ricci Institute on Zhengfusi. A publication is to be expected by the end of project, which will also serve as a sequel to an earlier publication Departed, Yet Present. Zhalan: The Earliest Christian Cemetery in Beijing.
