This
special scholarship was established in memory of Rev.
Edward J. Malatesta, S.J., founding director of the
Ricci Institute, in honor of his contributions to
Chinese-Western cultural exchange. The goal of this
special scholarship is to assist young Chinese scholars
in China to complete their advanced studies in Chinese-Western
cultural history particularly history of Christianity
in China. Chinese scholars who are interested in obtaining
this scholarship should contact the Ricci Institute
through their professors in China who have already
established professional ties with the Ricci Institute.
