The University of San Francisco offers a traditional style residence hall living option with five on-campus buildings. In each building, community living offers residents an endless opportunity for interaction with other students, faculty and staff.
Residence Halls are designed for relaxation and fostering friendships, with student lounges on each floor. Pedro Arrupe Hall is named after Basque born Pedro Arrupe who served as the Superior General of the Society of Jesus from 1965 to 1981.
Gillson Hall, named after former USF regent George B. Gillson, offers programs specifically designed for the first-year student.
Hayes-Healy Hall this residence hall caters to the specific needs of first-year students. The hall was named in memory of the parents of John Healy (St. Ignatius College, class of 1920) and his wife Ramona Hayes-Healy.
The decorative red tile roofs and European architectural style make the Lone Mountain Campus an easy landmark to spot.
Phelan Hall is USF's oldest, largest, and most centrally located hall. It is named after James D. Phelan, class of 1881 (St. Ignatius College), who was a mayor of San Francisco and a United States Senator.
Fromm Hall This all-women's residence hall is nestled between the Geschke Learning Center and Saint Ignatius Church, making it one of the most convenient halls in which to live. Fromm Hall houses juniors and seniors too. |
