In addition to USF's Code of Ethics for Administrators with Financial Responsibility, Purchasing Services subscribes to the following
two ethic codes & business standards from ISM (Institute for Supply
Management) and NAEP (National Association of Educational Procurement).
CODE OF ETHICS FOR UNIVERSITY OF SAN FRANCISCO ADMINISTRATORS WITH FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
USF Administrators with financial responsibilities adhere and promote the following ethical principles and responsibilities:
- Acting
with honesty and integrity, and avoiding actual or potential conflicts of
interest between my personal and professional relationships;
- Providing
accurate, complete, objective, relevant, timely, and understandable
information to appropriate University officers and administrators;
- Complying
with all federal, state, and local rules and regulations;
- Complying
with all University policies and procedures;
- Acting
in good faith, responsibly, with due care, competence and diligence;
- Holding
all information acquired in the course of employment at the University as
confidential unless authorized or legally required to disclose such
information, and not using such information for personal advantage; and
- Managing
University assets and resources prudently and responsibly.
(Administrators with financial responsibilities include all Business & Finance accounting and financial professional; all Deans and Vice Presidents; and those designated by their Deans and Vice Presidents to have financial or budget responsibilities.)
