Pharos Client Software

For Public Use Multi-functional Printer/Copier (mfp)
The Pharos client software allows you to print from your computer to any Pharos enabled self-service printer at the university or distributed campuses.  In order to print from your computer, please download and install the Pharos client software. To do this, pick the appropriate software for your computer then follow the corresponding installation instructions.

Select and download the Pharos software for your computer. After successful installation, please restart your computer.

For the Mac OSX operating system
Pharos for Windows XP/Vista/7 32 bit (x86)
Pharos for Windows XP/Vista/7 64-bit (x64)

All software is installed at your own risk. Due to the wide variety of computer settings and configurations, we cannot guarantee that remote printing will work on all computers.

The Pharos client software will require you to authenticate with a username and password every time you send a file to print. This print driver is referred to as "Pharos Challenge Version."  If you would like to install the "Pass-through Authentication version" on your personal laptop (username and password prompt not required after initial set up), please contact ITS Help Desk.

Instructions: How to Print

Before sending a file to the printer, please ensure you:
• are connected to USF network
• have successfully downloaded & installed the Pharos client software
• have an active One Card & mag-stripe
• have sufficient funds (Don$)
•(for faculty/staff) have FOAP(AL) attached to your One Card

Note:
(1) Printing PDF files directly from a website can cause difficultly. If this is an issue, save the file to your computer, re-open the file with Adobe Reader, then print.
