Project ID

Project ID is a program designed to assist in the recovery of lost or stolen property. To more easily identify property, The Department of Public Safety suggests that you engrave your drivers license number into your property. If your property is taken and Public Safety or any law enforcement agency finds it, we can identify it as yours by this identification.

In addition, make a list of all property including the make, model, serial numbers, color, and values. This list will be extremely important in case of theft because it provides all the information that Public Safety will need. This list will also be important to your insurance company. Store the list in a separate secure location.
