Children’s Liturgy of the Word

Children's Liturgy of the Word is celebrated year-round during the 9:30 a.m. Sunday Mass for children Grades K-4. Children sit with their families. After the opening prayer the celebrant calls the children up for a dismissal blessing. The children go to celebrate the Liturgy of the Word in a celebration adapted to their age-level. At the offertory of the Mass, the children return to their families.           (Note: Parents of kindergarten students have the option of enrolling their children in the Early Childhood Program or they may participate in Children’s Liturgy of the Word.)

Early Childhood Program

The Early Childhood Program is offered for children ages 3-4-5 years of age.  Classes meet on Sunday mornings, beginning late September through mid-May, 9:30 am - 10:30 am.  (during the 9:30 am Mass).  If Mass goes past the dismissal time of 10:30 am, the teachers will stay with the children until parents are able to pick them up.

The curriculum for the Early Childhood Program is Our Sunday Visitor’s  I AM SPECIAL PROGRAM.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
