NOVEMBER 1, 2013
Dear USF Community members,
On behalf of Presidential Search Committee Chair Chuck Smith and myself, I write to express our great appreciation for the response of the USF community to our request for input.
We heard from faculty, staff, students, alumni, Leadership Team members, the Loyola House Jesuit Community, and the St. Ignatius Parish Council. 253 community members participated in one of 15 Listening Sessions. An additional 272 submitted comments on the on-line survey. This is a clear indication to prospective candidates that we are a community committed to the University’s promising future.
To all who participated – thank you very much. Your comments impressed us in their thoughtfulness, insightfulness, and candor. We are incorporating what we learned into the Presidential Leadership Profile, the key document in reaching out to a national pool of qualified candidates.
To constituent representatives on the Search Advisory Committee who recruited participants and facilitated the Listening Sessions – a warm thank you for your dedication and leadership.
In the coming weeks, all community members can expect to receive an update on the search process and the Presidential Leadership Profile from Chair Chuck Smith. Until then, please continue to visit www.usfca.edu/presidentialsearch.
