Spring Orientation Checklist

You will register for your Spring classes at Spring Orientation. It is essential you complete the following steps before coming to campus for this program. It is very important to complete all the steps. If you do not, a "hold" may be placed on your account, and you will not be able to register for classes. Once you have registers, you will have to pay for tuition. Please click here for more information about paying tuition.

Check Holds on USFconnect Account

Log on to USFconnect at http://connect.usfca.edu using the username and password you received in the mail from the Admission Office. USFconnect is the online portal where you receive campus announcements, check your USF email account and more. In your email, you will have a message from the USF Orientation Team. Please read this email carefully, as it explains how to check your holds. For security purposes, you are encouraged to change your USFconnect password on a regular basis.

Confirm Financial Aid (if applicable)

Contact the One Stop Enrollment and Financial Services Office if you are a domestic student who applied for Financial Aid and have not received your award letter or if you have any questions.

Apply for Housing

Information for Students living on-campus: You are guaranteed housing, if and only if, you graduated high school in 2006 and if you submitted your housing contract, preference sheet, pre-payment, and proof of health insurance (legible photocopy of insurance carrier card with your name imprinted on it, as well as the policy number and customer service number) by May 1st.

Information for Students living off-campus: If you are under 21 years old and within two years of your high school graduation, and wish to live with your parent or legal guardian (within a 30 mile radius of USF), you must apply for an exemption from university policy. Go to the Residence Life website for more information or to download an exemption form.

Show Proof of Immunizations

You must provide evidence of required immunizations to the clinic prior to class registration. Go to the USF Immunization website to download forms and receive more information. Note: International students are not required to submit additional health insurance information, as you are automatically enrolled in the USF Student Health Insurance program.

Complete ID Express

Log on to the One Card website to complete ID Express, which will enable you to get your USF ID Card when you arrive for Orientation. Your USF ID Card grants you access to your resident hall, the Flexi meal plan, and University services such as Gleeson Library and the Koret Health and Recreation Center. If you do not have access to a computer to complete ID Express, please call or email the One Card office.

Complete the AlcoholEdu Course

student ID number also needed to log in

Log on to www.alcoholedu.com to take AlcoholEdu for College, an objective online alcohol education program that is required for all new first-year undergraduates. Complete Chapters 1, 2, and 3 and related tests before January 21, 2007. The end of the course (Chapter 4) must be completed by March 7, 2007.
