Useful Downloads and Links | Introduction To Moot Court PowerPoint The ProgramThe Spring Moot Court Program at USF is one of the only student-run oral advocacy programs in the country. The program run by a group of dedicated second and third year students who oversee the instruction of Moot Court participants. All first-year students, as well as part-time students who have not yet completed the Moot Court requirement, will enroll in the Spring 2008 Moot Court Program. Participating students are coached and supervised throughout the Spring Program by nineteen Case Counsel—second and third year students who excelled in Moot Court and are experienced in appellate advocacy techniques. Moot Court participants are randomly assigned to one of nineteen topics (most covering traditional first year subject areas such as contracts, criminal law, torts, etc.) and are assisted by an individual case counsel throughout the brief writing and oral advocacy process. Participants are assigned to argue for either “Petitioner” or “Respondent” within their respective topics. The USF Moot Court Board, comprised of five third year students, is responsible for overseeing the administration of the Moot Court program. Spring 2008 Moot Court Dates
