Maternal-Child Nursing; Women's Health; Holistic Nursing.  Has taught in both the BSN undergraduate and MSN graduate family nurse practitioner programs at the University of San Francisco (17 yrs.).  Previously taught at San Francisco State University's Nursing Department Maternity and Pediatric Nursing (14 yrs.) and at Kaiser School of Nursing, Maternity Nursing (5 yrs.).

Research Areas of Interest

Currently conducting a new study "Exploring Complementary and Alternative Modalities (CAM)/Holistic Nursing with Nurse Practitioners" which examines the experiences of nurse practitioners (NP) knowledge and ability to apply CAM/holistic therapies in their practice and assesses the NPS' level of satisfaction with their practice.  Holistic publications include:
