President Stephen A. Privett, S.J., and Dean Judith F. Karshmer, School of Nursing and Health Professions, invite you to celebrate the inaugural event of the university’s new Master of Public Health program. Following a reception, Barbara A. Garcia, M.P.A., San Francisco Director of Health, will be the featured guest for a provocative talk on the state of public health in the Bay Area. She will speak about trends and challenges in urban healthcare, followed by Q & A with the audience. This exciting, interdisciplinary event marks the launch of the new Master of Public Health program, designed to prepare the next generation of global health managers, public health practitioners, and leaders in health promotion and education.
