Curriculum

NURS 696 RN Transition Program

In seminar and simulation, participants review professionalism, effective communication, evidence-based practice, cultural care, and management of responsibilities, including specific nursing skills such as IV line care, physical assessment, nutrition, lab results, and pain management. Participants will also be part of a collaborative learning environment in a bimonthly post conference debriefing. Participants will learn to practice within the Quality and Safety Education for Nurses' (QSEN) framework. Upon completion of the program, a certificate in “Transition to Practice” with a specialty in Nursing Care in the Community will be awarded.
