Faculty Accomplishments

Robin Buccheri, PhD, RN, MHNP, FAAN: Dr. Buccheri gave a keynote presentation at the 24th Annual Japan Academy of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing Conference in Kumamoto, Japan. She also published an article in the Journal of Psychosocial Nursing and Mental Health Services.

Dellanira Garcia, PhD: Dr. Garcia had a publication in the American Psychologist in June. She has also co-authored a chapter in the book The Stigma of Disease and Disability: Empirical Models and Implications for Change, which is set for publication in January 2014.

Margaret Hansen, EdD, MSN, CNL, RN: Dr. Hansen is enjoying teaching HS500 Social Media and Health Education online course she designed as a result of a USF Teaching Incubator Award she received in 2012. This course illustrates how social media supports health promotion, healthcare, and education.

Nate Hinerman, PhD: During the previous academic year, Dr. Hinerman wrote and edited five publications, all while surviving his first year with twins. A full list of his publications can be found in his faculty bio on the School of Nursing and Health Professions website.

Seanny Min, FNP-C, PA-C, CNS, MSN, DNP: In May, Dr. Min and her family traveled to Cambodia for a ten-day medical mission, where they saw over 600 patients. This was her second medical mission to Cambodia.

Susan Penner, RN, MN, MPA, DrPH, CNL: Dr. Penner received the USF Faculty Team Innovation Award in April, along with Dr. Kia James and Dr. David Wolber. She also published several books, book chapters, and blogs.

Barbara Sattler, RN, DrPH, FAAN: Dr. Sattler has been invited to become a member of the Science Advisory Board of the Breast Cancer Fund. She has also written chapters for three books, and has been involved in more than ten speaking engagements, both domestically and world-wide.

Enna Trevathan,DNP, MSN, RN, MBA, CNL: Dr. Trevathan was named to the AACN CNL Wall of Fame. The Wall of Fame can be found at the following website: http://www.aacn.nche.edu/cnl/cnl-certification/wall-of-fame.

KT Waxman, DNP, MBA, RN, CNL, CENP: Dr. Waxman recently obtained a certificate in Executive Finance through AONE/HFMA. She also presented at the Australasian Nurse Educators Conference in Wellington, New Zealand in October.
