Allan Abrams

Lecturer

Allan Abrams earned his PhD. From the University of California at Berkeley.  He has celebrated 25 years as an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Francisco, teaching Research Methods, Statistics, Finance, and Economics.  He has acted as a consultant and has published  in the fields of human resources, banking, criminal rehabilitation, education, and leadership assessment.

Alex Clemens

Alex Clemens has twenty years of experience working for four elected officials in San Francisco and Washington DC, and is the founder of Barbary Coast Consulting, a communications, strategy, and public affairs firm based in San Francisco.

Corey Cook

Associate Professor

Corey Cook serves as director of the Leo T. McCarthy Center for Public Service and the Common Good, and joined the university as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2006 after having earned his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Lecturer

Ken Goldstein is a professor of political science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and director of the Wisconsin Advertising Project. Goldstein received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and combines his academic training with an ear for real politics and an impressive set of political contacts and experience.

Rebecca Gordon

Part-Time Lecturer

Rebecca Gordon received her B.A. from Reed College and her M.Div. and Ph.D. from Graduate Theological Union. Her dissertation in the field of Ethics and Social Theory focuses on the United States' use of torture in the post-9/11 period. Other interests include political philosophy, theories of justice including questions of race and gender justice, and their application in the world - in particular through community engagement and service learning.

Josh Green received his Bachelor's in Journalism from Cornell University, Master's in Journalism from Stanford University, Master's in Political Science from UC Berkeley, and is a doctoral candidate in political science at University of California at Berkeley, where he specializes in American Politics, Political Behavior and Comparative Politics.

NTanya Lee comes to USF with 30 years experience as a community organizer, policy advocate, and social justice activist. She was the Executive Director of Coleman Advocates for Children & Youth, and continues to work in the fields of community organizing, urban policy, and grassroots electoral politics.

Brian Weiner received his B.A. from Princeton University, and his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley. He specializes in political theory (from the ancients to contemporary theory), American political theory, and public law. He teaches courses in the areas of political theory, law, and American politics.
