Who:
Connie Hale, author of Sin and Syntax, which has become the standard reference on e-mail communication and business writing.

Will Leben, professor of linguistics at Stanford University and a linguistics consultant at Lexicon Branding, Inc. He is co-author of the textbook English Vocabulary Elements.

Seth Lerer, professor of English and comparative literature at Stanford University. His 36-lecture audio and video series “The History of English” is distributed by The Teaching Company.

Robert Burton, M.D., neurologist, who studies the connection between the brain and language.

Alexander Bischoff, CEO, Dendral, Inc, researches the use of the English language in relation to electronic communication.

Jon Balcom, assistant professor in the Chinese Program of the Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation at the Monterey Institute of International Studies.

Peter Robinson, editor of San Francisco Books & Travel. He also presents the radio program “The State of the English Language” on KALW radio.

Alberto Huerta, priest, poet, philosopher and associate professor of modern and classical languages at the University of San Francisco.
