One of the Nations Most Ethnically Diverse
|
(San Francisco) U. S. News and World Report today ranked the University of San Francisco as one of the 20 most ethnically diverse universities in the country in the category National UniversitiesDoctoral.
This is a University community where students, faculty, and staff learn from each other, said Fr. Stephen Privett, S.J., University of San Francisco President. Diversity here is not a political agenda, but the necessary ingredient of a quality education in the 21st century. We learn from hearing each others stories. The more diverse our stories, the richer the learning experience.
The University of San Franciscos 2002 freshman class demonstrates this diversity. Fifty-one percent are students of color, 36 percent are white and 13 percent are international or other/undefined.
