The University has enjoyed great success getting our story into the media
this summer and we wanted to share some of it with you.
The USF Dons 1951 Football Team | Some believe it is the greatest
college football team in history, and now Senator Barbara Boxer is now
trying to get the team invited to the White House. Bill Henneberry, director
of athletic development, has arranged interviews with the San Francisco
Chronicle, KRON and KTVU-TV. John Madden talked at length about the great
team on KCBS Radio. The University is now fielding calls from media nationwide,
including the Associated Press and Readers Digest.
Cupcake
Brown | An amazing woman with a compelling and inspiring story. Cupcake
was a teenage runaway, a former gang member, a teenage prostitute and
both a heroin and a crack addict. She is now a third year law student
at USF and in the top of her class. She was featured on Court TV in a
live, nationwide broadcast, on KPIX-TV, in the San Francisco Chronicle
and the San Francisco Recorder. Her story is also receiving national attention.
USF
Study on Giving and Volunteering | The Institute for Non-Profit Organization
Management found that California residents are more generous than the
national average. The story was featured in the Los Angeles Times and
across the state, including:
