Multicultural Leadership
MCSS intgrates the Social Change Model of Leadership Development and core Jesuit Values into all multicultural leadership programs. In addition, we believe that leadership is a process-- not position -- and that all students are leaders on campus. We encourage and support the recruitment of students who are not already involved in campus activities while encouraging and mentoring already active students to pursue leadership opportunities within and beyond culturally-focused student organizations.
Freedom Alliance of Culturally Empowered Students (FACES)
FACES works towards a more inclusive, multicultural university & society through socio/cultural, educational & political activities. Meetings are held every other week on Wednesdays at 5:30pm in the UC. Please refer to our Calendar of Events for more details regarding meeting times. For more information contact mcss@usfca.edu.

Storytelling to Engage Multiculturalism (StEM)
StEM is a leadership experience that will focus primarily on dialogue and storytelling as means to explore our commonalities, as well as the ways in which we experience the world differently. Throughout the course of the StEM program, participants will examine and utilize the written word, oral narrative, the visual arts, spoken word poetry, and movement as mediums to express voice. This is meant to be a challenging, yet ultimately rewarding experience that requires a semester-long commitment. The group will meet every Wednesday from 5-7 pm, and dinner will be provided! Facilitators include staff members from Health Promotion and Services (HPS), Office of Residence Life (ORL), and Multicultural Student Services (MCSS). Please contact Simon Hara to signup or for more information.
