Summer Service-Learning in Nicaragua

PROGRAM DETAILS:

Spring/Summer 2009 (exact dates TBA)

One week of instruction at USF prior to departure, 9 weeks in Ciudad Sandino, Nicaragua, and one week of instruction at USF upon return. (These dates are consistent with USF Summer Session III.)

2 units of USF service-learning course credit will be awarded upon successful completion.

WHO CAN APPLY:

Current Sophomores and Juniors with conversational Spanish ability and prior community service and/or service-learning experience.

All majors are encouraged to apply.

COST: $250 deposit. Scholarships for the remaining cost will be awarded to 5 students.
