San Francisco, CA – November 8, 2010 – Dan Stepchew, a current MBA student at the University of San Francisco has teamed up with some of his hometown friends to form Strong Street, LLC, a web application design firm that has recent launched its flagship application called FoldingStory.
FoldingStory is an online game in which players write a line of a story on a virtual piece of paper, they “fold” that paper, and then pass it on to the next player. The next player repeats the process until the story is finished. Each player has to think fast, since a line must be entered within the time limit in order for it to be included in the story.
“This is more than just a game for some people,” said Dan Stepchew, “We used to go through this process when writing song lyrics in our high school band, and the results were more creative than we ever imagined. We think that not only can this application be used for entertainment, but perhaps as an effective creative writing exercise that can be used in a university setting as well.”
Players have the ability to make friends via the site’s own social networking features, and can compete with others on the site for the best peer-reviewed story lines.
FoldingStory can be found online at www.foldingstory.com or as its own application on Facebook (http://apps.facebook.com/foldingstory/), where users can sign up and begin contributing to stories right away.
Recently, Folding Story has been featured in several online publications, including:
