Tony Ribera — professor of Public Administration and Law Enforcement — weighed in recently on the current hiring process for a new SF Police Chief. A big question is whether or not the new chief should come from within the ranks. Tony was positive, “we have a quality department.” On the question of hiring from outside, or inside, he cautioned against “shaking things up” and called for “good, proactive leadership.”
