USF Professor of Quantitative Business Analysis, and Wall St. Journal sports analytics columnist Joel Oberstone has been invited to chair the SpORts Cluster sessions at TRANSFORMATION, the 2011 INFORMS Annual Conference in Charlotte, NC, November 11-13.
INFORMS is the Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences Annual Meeting Operations research is the application of advanced analytical methods to help make better decisions. Since its inception nearly 60 years ago, O.R. has contributed billions of dollars in benefits and savings to corporations, government, and the nonprofit sector.
Professor Oberstone will be joining academic and corporate leaders from around the world, including fellow chair persons from The University of Chicago, Carnegie-Mellon, and Cornell.
