Seven BPS Students, ranging from freshmen to seniors, were given the opportunity to go abroad this summer on paid internships. Going to countries including China, India, and Turkey, our students have been given the opportunity to gain international working experience through paid internships. How did they do it? Well USF and the School of Business and Professional Studies has a relationship with a not-for-profit, student-run organization called AIESEC (eye-sek).

“I’ve only been a part of AIESEC for a year, and I have already networked with people all around the world and went on an amazing international internship in China!”
- Ryan Kintanar ’13, Entrepreneurship

What is AIESEC? Basically, it is the largest student run organization in the world. AIESEC (the Association Internationale des Étudiants en Sciences Économiques et Commerciales) gives young people the opportunity to develop themselves as global leaders by gaining international work experience while they are still students. With over 50,000 student volunteers spread across more than 100 countries, AIESEC manages a network of over 10,000 internship opportunities around the world. AIESEC San Francisco is proudly based here at USF, where forty-seven active members are tirelessly working to give their fellow students the opportunity to intern abroad. This means that as graduates of the School of Business and Professional studies, our students can already claim international work experience in their résumés.

“I went on an internship in Puerto Rico for about a month. And just being a part of AIESEC really changed my life, it really enabled me to take people for who they are and really just savor relationships a lot more. You should definitely join AIESEC!”
- Jared McCray ’11, Finance
