Man-Lui Lau

Associate Professor

Man-Lui Lau received his Ph.D. from Cornell University. His areas of specialization are microeconomics, macroeconomics, options and futures, mathematical economics and economies of East Asia. Dr. Lau has published papers on the theory of economic growth and Asian economies. Current research includes the East and Southeast Asian economies, financial development and economic growth, and the theory of Real Options and its application.

Spencer Sias

Adjunct Professor

Spencer Sias is an award-winning journalist who spent 10 years reporting and editing for daily newspapers, including Gannett Newspapers, before joining a high-tech public relations firm in the Silicon Valley.  As an agency public relations executive for five years, Mr. Sias supported companies, including Varian Associates, Hewlett Packard, Tektronix, and Sun Microsystems. Currently he manages investor relations and corporate communications at Varian Medical Systems, Inc.

John Veitch

Professor

Prof. Veitch received his Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University in 1985. He has been a faculty member at the University of San Francisco since 1992. He has been a visiting faculty member in the business schools at UC Berkeley and UC Irvine. Prof. Veitch is the Director of Education for the Security Analysts of San Francisco.
